Tanking to Dallas?

Of the many teams interested in suspended Defensive Tackle Tank Johnson, the Dallas Cowboys seem to be a "perfect fit." That is what a Dallas Cowboys official told Matt Mosley of ESPN's Hashmarks blog. Apparently, Tank Johnson would be the perfect fit for the Cowboys 3-4 defensive scheme.

It appears that the Cowboys like Tank's versatility, as he has played his entire career in a 4-3 defense. Mosley also says the Cowboys like Tank at any defensive end spot. Mosley also mentioned that Cowboys owner Jerry Jones has no problems rolling the dice on troubled players.

Versatile. That adjective definitely describes Tank Johnson. He was the fastest defensive tackle in the 2004 draft, running a 4.69 40 yard dash. The talent and versatility that Tank Johnson offers will be hard for many teams to pass up, but something not hard to pass up is his eight game suspension, in danger of being lengthened by his most recent arrest.
